Ahold Delhaize sees own-brand as key to affordability appeal

Ahold Delhaize said its brands were investing in affordability through own-label expansion, price cuts, loyalty offers and joint sourcing. The group targets own brands at around 45% of food sales by 2028, after launching 1,100 US and 1,450 European products in 2025. Ahold Delhaize USA plans USD1 billion of price investments from 2025 to 2028, while group savings are expected to reach EUR5 billion. (Ahold Delhaize)
