Kroger wants to play larger role in consumer health
Kroger Health is expanding efforts to position grocery outlets as accessible health infrastructure, linking food, pharmacy and clinical care. President Colleen Lindholz said its Nourishing Change initiative aims to improve health outcomes through industry collaboration. The retailer operates more than 2,200 pharmacies and 220 clinics, serving over 17 million customers annually, and is focusing on chronic disease, nutrition and GLP-1-related changes.
