Albert Heijn to compensate shoppers hit by outage

Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn will compensate customers affected by its recent cybersecurity-related outages. Cancelled online orders qualify for EUR10 credit, alongside refunds where applicable. Customers will also receive missed loyalty points and compensation for unavailable discounts. Its website and app have been restored, but online grocery ordering remains suspended. Deliveries are expected to resume gradually from 23 October. (Twinkle)
