Retail Cities' Workshops
We run a series of workshops throughout the year, providing a safe and collaborative learning space. Our workshops will equip you with the relevant insights and tools to gain a deep understanding of the retail landscape, growth channels, key trends, and disruptive innovations.
These workshops bring 3 perspectives together:
- The retail intelligence expertise, with presentations from the Retail Cities’ senior experts in retail insights.

Our workshop calendar consists of a combination of in-person and virtual workshops (delivered over Zoom) for the US audience, and a series of virtual workshops for our Europe & rest of world audiences.

Video series consists of 20 episodes (available to view on-demand replay), of around 60 mins in duration each. In addition, member companies have access to the Director’s Cut bonus sessions, which are additional brief 30 min sessions that delve deeper on the series episodes topics, through a candid discussion among our experts.
Store Audits
Our store audit service gives you an assessment of the instore execution of your brands/categories for any given retailer, benchmarking against your competitors as well as other categories in the store.
Store audits will help you:
- Understand what the store execution really looks like for your brand(s)/category and verify if this is aligned to the agreed plans with your retail customers.
- Uncover consistencies (or lack of) in store execution across various cities/regions.
- Track prices of your products/categories through time, and benchmark against your competitors and/or different categories.
- Identify best practices within your category and others in the store.
Store audits are designed to address your specific needs/objectives, so we will customize the scope according to your specifications.
We can conduct store audits in most countries in the world, for any channel of your choice, including grocery stores, convenience, value discounters, dollar stores, specialist (such as pet, toys, and more), DIY, electronics, and more. We also cover traditional trade (such as mom & pops and small family-owned stores), which represents a large portion of retail in developing markets.
Expert on Demand
Our Expert on Demand service provides you with assistance on any retail question where expert advice/perspective is needed from an industry veteran (e.g., in preparation to an important internal meeting or a JBP meeting with a retailer).
Raise your question and the Retail Cities team will conduct the research, generate the insights, and walk you through the findings and recommendations.
Requests are typically delivered in 5 business days and can be fast-tracked if needed or a fee.

The Retail Excellence Member Insights Packs are monthly updates on key developments and trends in retail, and implications for brand suppliers.
These packs condense the most relevant insights our experts generate across multiple projects and ongoing research, insights that everyone involved with retail should be aware of.
We continuously receive excellent feedback on these packs, especially from our clients in senior management/leadership roles.
Each edition includes macro trends relevant across various key retailers, channels, and geographies.
We produce a European and a North American version.
Retail Insights Reports
The Retail Cities team tracks the updates and new developments in retail on an ongoing basis and produces Insights Reports upon client request.
As a member, you can choose reports from our existing library (which is continuously updated/refreshed) or submit a request for a report to be developed on a specific topic of your interest.
Typically, we produce reports on retail channels, retail customers, market analysis, and retail trends and predictions.
