Albertsons harmonises merchandising under Merch United
US grocery group Albertsons has introduced Merch United, an operating model unifying merchandising, marketing, ecommerce, retail media and data teams. The framework aims to accelerate decisions, improve supplier collaboration and deliver more consistent assortments, pricing and promotions across regional banners. Albertsons said the structure would support its Customers for Life strategy while preserving local market flexibility. (Progressive Grocer)
