Carrefour begins GS1 QSR code rollout across own-brand range
Carrefour said 50 private-label products now carry GS1-powered QR codes, expanding the technology beyond its initial use on own-brand wine. Chief digital officer Miguel Ángel González Gisbert said the codes would improve transparency for customers and support staff in outlets and logistics, while helping Carrefour anticipate regulatory changes in categories including wines, spirits, textiles and batteries.
