Carrefour outlines plans for key priority market of Spain

Carrefour plans to open 750+ outlets in Spain by 2030, including 450 convenience stores by 2028, as part of its Strategy 2030, positioning Spain alongside France and Brazil as priority markets. The retailer is targeting annual ecommerce growth of 10% and higher investment in pricing, fresh produce and loyalty. In 2025, Spain generated sales of EUR11.90 billion, up 1.5% YoY.
