Carrefour is seeking to acquire wholesaler Codifrance from Colruyt, according to Olivier Dauvers. The deal would remove a supplier used by some Carrefour franchisees seeking cheaper sourcing outside the group, while strengthening Carrefour’s proximity wholesale business and helping Colruyt continue its withdrawal from France. Codifrance supplies hundreds of Coccinelle, Coccimarket and Viveco outlets and belongs to purchasing network Francap. (Olivier Dauvers)
