Carrefour is testing cashierless Scan & Go payments at an Express store in Brussels. Customers use French mobile app PikkoPay to scan products and pay without queuing at a checkout. Carrefour Belgium’s innovation director said the pilot marks PikkoPay’s first deployment in Belgium, extending the retailer’s experimentation with technologies designed to streamline the in-store shopping and payment experience.
