Italian supermarket cooperative Coop has warned that haulier blockades in southern Italy are disrupting fresh produce deliveries, particularly grapes, citrus fruit and vegetables. Supplies to central and northern outlets are becoming increasingly irregular, with stocks running low and Friuli particularly affected. Coop said widespread shortages had not yet emerged but could develop if disruption continues. It pledged not to replace unavailable Italian produce with imports. (GDO News)
