Edeka drives loyalty app uptake with fuel discounts
Edeka is cutting prices by EUR0.17 on more than 50 everyday products until 30 June 2026, using the Edeka or Marktkauf apps. The German grocery group said the campaign, linked to fuel discount debate, covers items including bread, pasta, flour, milk, butter, eggs, cheese, rice, sugar and toast. CEO Markus Mosa said Edeka could not make fuel cheaper but could offer relief through everyday shopping. The group said it is investing a seven-figure sum in the initiative. (Edeka)
