Ocado and Lidl were the UK’s fastest-growing grocers in the 12 weeks to 19 April 2026, according to Worldpanel by Numerator. Ocado sales rose 11.3%, lifting its share to 2.2%, while Lidl sales rose 8.8%, taking its share to a record 8.4%. Tesco raised its share to 28.1%, and Sainsbury’s rose 4.5% to 15.5%. The wider grocery market grew 0.9% in the four weeks to 19 April 2026, as LFL inflation eased to 3.8% and promotional spending rose 7.8% YoY. (Retail Gazette)
