Lidl is set to expand its mobile virtual network operator business to as many as 30 countries under a five-year deal with 1Global, which will see parent Schwarz Group take a 9.9% stake in the technology partner. Lidl already operates Lidl Connect in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on prepaid offers. Under the agreement, Lidl will partner with local mobile operators in each market, while 1Global will serve as exclusive technology partner. (Mobile World Live)
