Lidl Netherlands fleet to be all-electric by 2027
Lidl Nederland will become the world’s first retailer to supply all outlets fully electrically from 2027, three years ahead of its original target. Its new fast-charging site at Almere makes North Holland, Flevoland and Texel fully electric immediately. The retailer said its gas-free distribution centres use tens of thousands of solar panels, batteries and surplus charging capacity to reduce grid pressure.
