Mercadona comes out on top in European loyalty ranking

Mercadona has topped NielsenIQ’s European customer loyalty ranking, with customers allocating an average 36% of consumer spending to the Spanish supermarket chain. Its share of wallet rose 0.2pp YoY, making it one of only three top 15 European retailers to grow, alongside Ocado and Rewe. Mercadona led E.Leclerc by 5.0 points, while Carrefour and Tesco each held 27.4%. Intermarché reached 26.4%, Esselunga 25.1% and Coopérative U 23.9%. (InfoRETAIL)
