Rewe debuts instant delivery from 80 German outlets

German supermarket group Rewe has launched rapid grocery delivery with Uber Eats, Wolt and Lieferando, initially in Frankfurt, Cologne, Hamburg and Jena. Customers can order 5,000-9,000 products for delivery within an hour. Rewe plans expansion to further large cities by year-end, followed by smaller markets. Germany’s quick-commerce market is forecast to exceed EUR1.3 billion by 2030, while online accounts for just 4% of grocery sales. (Rewe Group)
