Rewe is exploring an investment in Austrian grocer MPreis, operating primarily in western Austria. The discussions could result in Rewe acquiring a minority stake, although no agreement has been reached. MPreis, which has faced financial pressure in recent years, operates around 300 outlets under banners including MPreis and miniM.
