Sainsbury’s reported slower sales growth in Q1 than in the previous quarter, with retail sales excluding fuel rising 2.7% to GBP9.15 billion after growing 4.7% in Q4. LFL sales increased 2.1%, down from 3.1% in Q4, while grocery sales rose 3.6% to GBP7.6 billion compared with 4.2% growth previously, supported by volume gains, Aldi Price Match and Nectar Prices.
