Schwarz Group AI offshoot plans transatlantic merger

Aleph Alpha and Cohere plan to merge, creating a transatlantic AI group focused on sovereign AI for governments and regulated industries. The companies said sovereign AI could be worth about USD600 billion annually. Schwarz Group, owner of Lidl and Kaufland, has committed USD600 million in financing for Cohere’s planned Series E round. The AI infrastructure will run on STACKIT, Schwarz Digits’ sovereign European cloud platform. (Retail News)
