Target expands on ambitions to win in baby category

Target’s baby aisle reset reallocates space to faster-selling items such as strollers, after sales data showed parents were more likely to research and buy cribs online. The retailer said it launched Baby Boutiques in 200 outlets across 37 states in late March, featuring interactive displays, premium gear and free 30-minute consultations with Tot Squad. Across its chain, Target is adding more than 2,000 items as part of CEO Michael Fiddelke’s plan to improve merchandising. (Modern Retail)
