German non-food discounter TEDi will acquire Woolworth’s 74 Polish outlets and take on their employees, ending the sister chain’s expansion in the country. TEDi, which operates more than 3,700 stores across Europe, currently has around 300 Polish outlets. Woolworth had previously targeted a network of 400 stores in Poland. (Dlahandlu.pl)
