UK grocer Tesco has introduced three-year contracts for around 200 farmers supplying its Finest Steakhouse beef range, with the enhanced Sustainable Beef Group worth more than GBP92 million annually. Farmers can earn additional payments per kg for meeting standards covering meat quality, breeding, animal health, welfare and sustainability.
