Tesco wants to make food central to its ecosystem

Tesco urged suppliers to support its new “food first” strategy, aimed at strengthening quality, innovation and market share in UK grocery. The retailer told suppliers at its IGD Business Update that it wants to build a “food first retail ecosystem” and become their most strategic partner. The plan includes stronger Clubcard personalisation, AI trials, gamification, personalised pricing, EDLP and Aldi Price Match. (The Grocer)
