Kirat Anand
Kirat Anand is a seasoned retail executive with over two decades of experience. He is a proven leader with a track record of success in growing businesses and driving results.
Kirat began his retail career as an entrepreneur, founding and leading the fashion brand KAS New York to over $100 million in DTR and DTC sales, scaling to 200+ global employees, and being featured in publications like the New York Times, Entrepreneur Magazine, WWD, Vogue, Glamour, Elle, Huffington Post and others.
He then joined Walmart as a senior executive, where he oversaw pricing, promotion, and markdown strategy for all general merchandise, covering all 4,700 stores and digital platforms. Here his team played a key role in increasing revenue and marketing share through various pricing strategies.
Kirat is also a strong advocate for retail-tech and innovation. He has served on the board or advisory council for several organizations, including NYU Stern School of Business Luxury & Fashion MBA Program, Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Innovation Lab, NYU Stern Venture Fellows, New York Fashion Tech Lab, W. R. Berkley Innovation Lab and half a dozen venture backed tech startups.
Kirat is a graduate of NYU Stern School of Business with a BS in Finance and Information Systems. He also completed Computer Science from Harvard University. In his spare time, Kirat enjoys golfing, and creating culinary experiences.
